Juraj Holoda, the multi-talented musician, was born on September 16, 1985 in Český Brod, Czech Republic. With a diverse skill set as a Slovak guitarist, pianist, singer, composer, arranger and producer across various musical genres, Juraj’s passion for music has been evident since his early years.

 
Early Musical Journey
 

His musical journey began at the Elementary Music School in Trenčín, where he immersed himself in piano classes. His passion for music continued to flourish throughout his high school years at The Piarist Grammar School in Trenčín. At just sixteen, Juraj became a singer and the first piano accompanist of the school choir, Piarissimo. His musical prowess continued to evolve.

 
Exploration of Guitar
 

At seventeen, Juraj took it upon himself to learn to play the guitar. He later honed his guitar skills under the tutelage of music teacher Ivan Dobiáš. These formative experiences led him to prioritize his musical career over economics studies.

 
Conservatory Education
 

Juraj’s dedication to music led him to the Conservatory and Higher Specialized Art School of Jaroslav Ježek in Prague, where he successfully completed his curriculum in jazz guitar under the guidance of Professor Jaroslav Šindler (2006-2012).

 
Brazilian Musical Journey
 

In 2012, Juraj expanded his musical horizons by studying guitar and percussion at the musical institute Escola de Choro Raphael Rabello in Brasília, Brazil. His time in Brazil immersed him in the vibrant local music scene, fostering connections with numerous local musicians through jam sessions, club performances, and recording sessions.

 
International Collaborations
 

Juraj’s talent as a guitarist has earned him a place in various international musical projects. He has shared the stage with esteemed artists such as Moya Angela (USA), Tommy Emmanuel (AUS), Shahab Tolouie (Iran) and numerous talented musicians from Brazil, including drummer Di Stéffano, bass player Josias Pedrosa and guitarist Santiago Ferreira.

 
Slovak and Czech Musical Sphere
 

Within the Slovak music scene, Juraj’s influence extends as a musician, arranger and producer. He has co-written and arranged songs with renowned Slovak singers like Marcel Palonder, Peter Cmorík and Anka Repková among others. His collaborative efforts also include notable Slovak musicians such as drummer Martin Valihora, bassist Juraj Griglák, Eugen Vizvári, and guitarist Michal Bugala. Juraj’s musical journey has been marked by notable performances alongside renowned czech artists. In 2016, he shared the stage with czech rockstar Petr Janda during his concert in Boston as a vocalist. In 2021, he was a featured guest at Michal Prokop‘s Christmas concert at Lucerna Hall in Prague, where he performed with his band, Colorful People, alongside violinist Jan Hruby. Additionally, Colorful People has had the privilege of collaborating with esteemed artists such as Laco Deczi, Lenka Filipova, Čechomor, Mirai and more, including a memorable appearance at the live concert anniversary of ČT art, the Czech national TV music channel. This event featured a stellar lineup of Czech music icons, including Lenka Dusilova, David Koller, Michal Pavlíček, Ondřej Havelka, Kamil Stříhavka, 7krát3, Dagmar Pecková, Adam Plachetka among others.”

 
Leading Colorful People
 

Currently, Juraj serves as the band leader and manager of the musical group Colorful People. His professional dedication revolves around musical composition and arrangement, embracing a vivid palette of diverse genres.
